HOUSTON -- Indicted Texas Congressman Tom DeLay turned himself in to authorities in Houston. DeLay was photographed, fingerprinted and released on bond on state conspiracy and money laundering charges -- then he left. The former U.S. House Majority Leader stopped at the Harris County sheriff's bonding office. He posted $10,000 bond. DeLay and two political associates were indicted in Austin in an alleged scheme to violate state election law. They're accused of illegally funneling corporate donations to Republican Texas legislative candidates in 2002. All three say they're innocent. The left was drooling over the possibility of having a Tom Delay mugshot to use in the coming elections.
